What to Expect:

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for development and testing of 11ax Wi-Fi Enterprise Access point under the Ruckus product line. You will work closely with the software, systems and hardware engineering teams, to develop and qualify software features in our latest generation 11ax Wi-Fi access point products.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Developing software tools to simplify monitoring and troubleshooting 11ax Wi-Fi network health and performance.
  • Automating Wi-Fi interop testing and debug/resolve interop issues in varied test scenarios.
  • Developing methods for a Wi-Fi client device to locate itself without GPS in an indoor environment using Wi-Fi signals from multiple Wi-Fi access points.
  • Developing scheduling methods for 11ax access points to improve data transfer rate to multiple 11ax clients while also optimizing client battery life.
  • Characterize through laboratory testing the pros and cons of different scheduling methods in different test scenarios.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company

You Will Excite Us If You

  • Have strong problem solving, analytical and debug skills.
  • Embedded software development experience is preferred.
  • C, python, TCL or shell programming skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of 802.11 wi-fi protocol is preferred.
