Due to increased customer demand, CommScope has an open position for a Materials Planner in Catawba NC
WHAT TO EXPECT
As a part of an extraordinary global manufacturing team and under limited supervision, this position will develop and execute materials planning strategies to support the monthly forecast, customer demands and planning needs required to meet global commitments on the capacity plan.
YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT BY:
Assisting Site Director, Operations Managers and Global Planners in the development of planning processes through identifying gaps. Perform local planning responsibilities as needed for responsible area, including developing daily/weekly production schedules, processing MRP regularly, promising orders/quotations, replenishing materials, optimizing inventories, and communicating with various functional areas to ensure global commitments are met based on capacity plan. Develop and modify documentation and other vital tools to improve planning experience and enhance performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with internal and external suppliers to ensure production schedules can be maintained. Materials scheduled to work within the available plant footprint.
- Have the vision and systems in place to prevent material flow issues.
- Develop material plans to support the forecast supplied by PLM.
- Bachelors Degree with five years of proven expertise in a production/material planning role or an Associates degree and seven years of experience in a production/material planning role.
- Strong PC skills and MS Office are required along with the ability to work flexible hours and travel internationally
- Ability to communicate in local language(s) in addition to English and optimally interact and influence personnel at various levels
- Self starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual
YOU WILL EXCITE US IF YOU:
Have knowledge of production control systems, specifically SAP and/or have certifications like APICS (American Production & Inventory Control), CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) and CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
