Under general supervision, the Material handler- Packer is responsible for building, creating and packaging custom orders as required by packing lists. Is responsible for the packing work instructions full understanding and observance. Performs the packing activity with safety. Has the flexibility to perform other duties in addition to, or instead of packing as per the supervisor’s instructions.

  • Identifies the material to be packed and reviews attached documentation,
  • Reports any inconsistency in amount, weight, or product.
  • Organizes the shipment,
  • Reviews picking lists and compares information vs. the SAP
  • Reviews all documentation to guarantee consistency,
  • Physically verifies amounts and product,
  • Weights, and or counts the material included in the order (s)
  • Verifies and observes shipment instructions<
  • Defines if this is a MTO (Make to order), or STK (make to stock)
  • Print labels and documents, as required
  • Places all labels and attach the corresponding documents to the boxes and or, orders,
  • Registers all transactions in SAP, including shipping transportation screen,
  • Performs the job with integrity and following all safety protocols
  • Reports any unsafe condition to the supervisor,
  • Performs additional, or different duties as per the supervisor’s request.
