Our fast-paced manufacturing firm is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The maintenance mechanic perform various manual tasks necessary to repair, build, and overhaul machinery and electrical equipment in the plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize the proper tools to disassemble, assist in preparing, and to reassemble machinery as directed.
- Clean and lubricate parts and machinery as directed.
- Refinish and fabricate parts as needed.
- Report any dangerous conditions to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Clean work areas.
- Obtain parts as needed.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints.
- Install electrical conduit and electrical devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems using a multimeter and amprobe.
Repair safety items on Monthly Safety Inspection
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A basic knowledge of relay logic and P.L.C. operation is required. Electrical certification required. Practical experience may be considered in lieu of certifications or degrees.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
