Job Description

Our fast-paced manufacturing firm is seeking an Assembler. This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills, and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has a minimum of 6 months experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail, has excellent attendance and is committed to workplace safety. We offer excellent medical, vision, and dental insurance as well as retirement benefits, PTO and paid holidays. HSM is seeking qualified candidates at our location in Tolleson, AZ. This position is 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Remove and place tick in designated racks and assist quilt operators as needed.
  • Perform duties as outlined in established Job Safety Analysis and National Quality Standards.
  • Organize and/or stock raw materials in the work area, follow departmental housekeeping requirements, and leave the work environment and equipment clean at the end of shift.
  • Perform other duties as designated by a supervisor or manager.

Minimum Requirements:

Demonstrated ability and willingness to work safely, take initiative, multi-task, and work both independently and as a part of a team. Work experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day or longer in overtime situations as required. Also must be able to lift heavy product or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift or longer in overtime situations to meet customer demand. Heavy loads must be team-lifted. A work pace that maintains integrity of make-to-order system is required.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions and production tickets. Must be able to understand and follow verbal instructions; communicate with coworkers and management clearly and respectfully; and work in an ever-changing, fast-paced team environment.
