Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Retrieve foam and fiber from roller bed and place on the gluing table or conveyor for the gluing machine.
  2. Retrieve, measure, and cut out Duon components together per specification sheet.
  3. Glue the foam, fiber, and Duon components together per specification sheet.
  4. Pinch and knife the cushions per specification sheet.
  5. Write your initials on the finished unit.
  6. Put finished unites on the conveyor belt or a flat as needed.
  7. Tally the number of units completed on a manual counter.
  8. Assist with monthly inventory as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
