Due to our continued growth and customer demand we are currently recruiting for qualified Assembler & Fabrication Operators for opportunities located at our remote site in Crowley, Texas.


Responsible for assembling, grinding, sanding, and polishing objects made from metal, stone, plastic, and/or glass. Will use hand tools, and power tools to ensure a smooth surface in accordance with blue prints, work instructions, measurements and/or prototypes. Inspects for flaws or cracks. A degree of skill, technique and mechanical knowledge is desired.


  • In accordance with work orders, job directions and dimensional drawings, retrieves components and/or supplies from designated stock areas and set up work area. Assemble product(s) to blueprint specifications.
  • Study blueprints or layouts to determine how to lay out workpieces or saw out templates.
  • File grooved, contoured, and irregular surfaces of metal objects, such as metalworking and machine parts, to conform to templates, other parts, layouts, or blueprint specifications.
  • Grind, sand, clean, or polish objects or parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Trim, scrape, or deburr objects or parts, using chisels, scrapers, and other hand tools and equipment.
  • Select files or other abrasives, according to materials, sizes and shapes of workpieces, amount of stock to be removed, finishes specified, and steps in finishing processes.
  • As required, tap holes and/or change threads.
  • Load and adjust workpieces onto equipment or work tables / roll over dollies and/or saw horses.
  • Measure and mark equipment, objects, or parts to ensure grinding and polishing standards are met.
  • Use controls to adjust, start, or stop equipment during grinding and polishing processes.
  • Remove completed workpieces from equipment or work tables, and place workpieces in designated locations and/or containers.
  • Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates, measuring their dimensions and/or testing the parts.
  • As applicable, apply solutions and chemicals to equipment, objects, or parts.
  • Red tag defects (i.e. cracks and/or splits) for repair identifying issue and/or problems.
  • Record either product or processing data on specified forms.
  • Wrap product after final assembly is complete.
  • Maintain or repair equipment. Sharpen abrasive grinding tools.
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance a plus.
  • Must adhere to site policies and EHS safety requirements (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment).


  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or Technical School certificate / diploma is not required, but preferred.
  • Previous experience operating machinery plus six (6) to twelve (12) months' work experience as a machine operator helper or similar role desired.
  • Working knowledge of assembly & fabrication a plus
  • A good command of the English language including ability to read, write and communicate.
  • Physically strong, agile and dexterous. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift, with assistance, up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of computer desired.
  • Will be required to pass a skills assessment test (i.e. tape measure test).
  • Must adhere to site policies and EHS safety requirements (i.e. Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Ability to work overtime, which may be required, based on business need.
  • May be required to work from CommScope’s Euless facility based on business need.


Monday – Friday: 6:00am to 2:30pm.
