Inpatient Wound Care / Full-time / 1st Shift / (Posted 08/05/2020)
A Wound, Ostomy and Continence Registered Nurse provides care to patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and incontinence, utilizing the nursing process and the expertise of WOC nursing. This includes providing direct care as well as education to the patient and caregiver. Instructs nurses and other clinicians in the care of patients with ostomies, wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and incontinence. Performs related supply management and documentation tasks. Assists in evaluating program objectives and participates in program improvement activities.
Education and Credentials Required:
Graduate of accredited nursing program. Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State. BSN degree. WOC certification within 2 years of employment date. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Work Experience Required:
Five years of previous nursing experience.
WOC certification. Two year’s experience in wound, ostomy and continence patient care.
