Inpatient Rehab / Full-time / 1st shift / (Posted 07/07/2021)
Responsible for referral development and all activities related to pre-admission and the admission process for inpatient rehab. Develops annual marketing plan and executes plan to achieve targeted admissions. Participates in the development of patient care practice standards using evidence-based research.
Directs and coordinates the activities of the nursing staff to provide nursing care appropriate to the age of the patients served, incorporating knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span. Assesses and interprets data about patient���s status in order to identify each patient���s age specific needs and provides the care needed by the patient group. Participates in the planning, development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Is responsible for the fiscal and human resource management of the unit. Responsible for adhering to CVMC policies and procedures; abiding by the CVMC Nursing Bylaws; and practicing within the guidelines of the North Carolina State Nurse Practice Act.
Education and Credentials:
��� Graduate of accredited BSN nursing program.
��� Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
��� BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
Five years of previous nursing experience. Must have knowledge of health care delivery systems, rehabilitation medicine and third party reimbursement issues. Must have thorough understanding of the rehabilitation process, excellent clinical assessment skills and patient/family education skills.
Served in the capacity of one or more of the following: charge nurse, preceptor, team lead, successfully led projects, or BCLS, ACLS, PALS instructor. Demonstrates leadership potential. Given training and on-the-job experience incumbent should be proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
