Practice Coordinator / Catawba Valley Family Medicine - Maiden / Full-Time / (Posted 06/09/2021)

Job Description:
Directly supervises all clerical and clinical staff in physician office. Responsible for day to day management duties of a physician’s office and staff. Supervises and evaluates clerical staff. Supervises and evaluates clinical staff with the input of physicians. Ensures the practice adheres to Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) standards. Utilizes a team based approach to all tasks.

Education and Credentials:
High School diploma or equivalent. Medical terminology. Extensive knowledge of information systems, third party payers: Medicare, Medicaid, and Worker’s Compensation and Managed Care. Experience with Compliance Issues, ICD and CPT coding. General medical office operations.

Work Experience:
One year experience working in physician practice as coordinator/office manager. Given training on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the position within three months of employment date.

Preferred qualifications:
Associate degree in Healthcare Management or a related field or the equivalent in directly related work experience.
Two years office management
