Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class performs routine manual labor work and skilled equipment operations work as part of maintaining and repairing safe and attractive structures, facilities, streets, and grounds for use by city residents. Work is distinguished from the Equipment Operator I level by the type and complexity of work assignments, the knowledge of or license to operate certain equipment, and degree of supervision required. This classification is non-supervisory and work is performed under the direction of a senior equipment operator or maintenance supervisor. Work is evaluated by a field operations supervisor and evaluated by visual inspection of work, meetings, compliance with safety procedures, and overall quantity and quality of work.
