Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding career? Consider a position as a 911 Telecommunicator! This position is a critical part of the first response chain. 911 is a fast-paced, 24/7 operation which requires that applicants are available to work any shift, including holidays, evenings and weekends. Applicants must also be able to multi-task and prioritize demands. As a 911 Telecommunicator, you will operate radio, telephone, and/or computer equipment at an emergency response center; receive reports from the public of crimes, disturbances, fires, and medical or police emergencies; relay information to emergency response personnel; and may maintain contact with caller until responders arrive.
Schedule is an 8-hour shift – 4 days on and 2 days off. Current shift availability:
Note: After completing your application, the next step in the process is to complete a Criticall test on-site at the 911 Center. These tests will be conducted May 8-11. If you are chosen for testing, you will be contacted (by email or phone) no later than May 12th. Applicants should allow 1 – 1 ¼ hours for testing.
