Hickory Public Library seeks a community-focused individual to bring an innovative approach to connecting neighborhood patrons with library services. The Community Engagement Coordinator will take library services into the community through classes, events and informational sessions. In addition to working with existing partner agencies, including afterschool groups, City of Hickory departments and local non-profits, this individual will establish new connections and partnerships with community organizations and businesses. This individual will also plan and present creative, dynamic classes and events for community members of all ages in the library. These classes could include crafts, STEAM activities, informational health sessions, book clubs, and more!
