Assist Quality Manager and Quality Engineer in developing, maintaining, and auditing the operations, logistic and supplier processes that are intended to assure the quality of the products manufactured as well as shipped to customers.

  • Perform 3PL audits of working instruction processes and products prior to shipment
  • Verify and approve conversion/reconfigurations executed by 3PL partners and CM
  • Resolve non-conforming findings found during audits
  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality Engineer to resolve Quality findings as a result of Supplier issues
  • Gather and prepare reports of statistical RMA data for analysis of product failures and submit the trending reports in a timely fashion
  • Maintain QA lab and equipment in good working order and adhere to good housekeeping practices. Ensure calibrations and ESD records are current and preventive maintenance is performed
  • Assist QA Engineers with preliminary inspection of FA units, including reworking of PCBA and performing functional test to duplicate failures
  • Assist QA Engineers with First Article Inspection of NPI products and provide timely reports

Assist QA Manager with special projects as required

Skills Requirements:

  • Certified Quality Auditor and/or Quality Technician from American Society for Quality preferred
  • Working knowledge with PCBA/SMT/Soldering process
  • Knowledge of IPC’s acceptance criteria
  • Understanding of high volume manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge in Arena and/or Agile
  • Ability to read and understands electrical and PCBA design schematics
  • General computer skills, required
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience required
  • Statistical knowledge and software experience preferred
  • QC and test equipment experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required
  • Excellent attendance and work record required

Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
