General Summary

The Senior Hardware technician position is crucial to the development of wireless access points and switches. The position will provide support to all members of the HW teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Hardware technician will provide day to day support for the HW engineers. This support will include reworking PCBAs per engineering request, building cable assemblies for prototypes, assemblying prototype units, and minor testing/verification.


Include demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to build cable assemblies ( power, signal and RF)
  • Must be able to perform PCBA rework
  • Must be skilled in soldering
  • Must be proficient at operating PCB rework equipment
  • Must be proficient at reworking small components such as 0201 package size
  • Must be able to construct PCB assemblies
  • Must be able to organize and maintain lab stock
  • Must be able to read and understand cable drawings
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Must be able to take written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to perform electronics assembly
  • Must be able to perform simple tests/verifications
