CommScope is hiring a Quality Technician in Euless TX. This position will work Monday to Thursday second shift hours from 4:00 pm – 2:30 am.

How You'll Help us Connect The World:

This role is encouraged to be a quality champion to internal and external clients and vendors and implement a unified approach to Quality in with the intent to deliver high-quality products and services in a manner that meets the high standards held by CommScope. We utilize new methodologies / ways of thinking and be able to resolve the natural differences that exist in an organization. This role implements various elements within the three areas of Quality which are Continuous Improvement, Quality Assurance and Quality Control. Continuous Improvement involves the ongoing improvement of products, processes, services, and people through incremental or breakthrough improvements. This includes actively contributing to teams in a leadership or participant role using one or more methodologies (PDCA, 8D, FMEA, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma) to achieve the objectives of the corporate Quality Policy. Identify improvement opportunities, provide support with process documentation and metrics identification. Participate in collaborative multi-functional teams to deliver companywide quality solutions incorporating standard methodologies. Be an active participant in improvement projects, establish benchmarks and standard methodologies that align with overall business goals for areas of responsibility. Quality Assurance involves crafting detailed preventative actions vital to provide confidence that products/ services meet given requirements. This requires performing vital actions to implement BU and corporate requirements into the local processes and systems to ensure the establishment and maintenance of a robust quality program. Performs the required actions to meet all business unit and corporate quality requirements from expected operating procedures to support the Quality Management System. Monitor local QA processes to verify that the prescribed methods are being followed for the plant you are supporting. Quality Control involves inspecting, auditing, and testing efforts to maintain the integrity of a product and/or process. Here you will evaluate the effectiveness (Audit) of the local quality systems to assure compliance to all corporate and local policies, as well as compliance with national and international standards and legislation. Develop, recommend, and implements changes as needed based on evaluation. Coordinate the duties/functions to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance and advise the management on these issues. Ensure compliance with testing and inspection procedures. This role prepares and publishes timely reports describing contributions to business, using suitable formats for communication, supported by knowledge of methods for data collection, mining and analysis. Prepare an action plan for training to achieve necessary Certifications. Hold Tag and integrated Material Return Authorization, Material Review Board, and Return to Vendor Systems through planning, organizing, documenting, and executing systems in a timely and accurate manner ensuring applicable areas aligned with SOX. Develop and maintains strong relationships with employees through effective and timely communication. Maintain a level of knowledge appropriate to the job level of internal systems to provide support to the Operations and Quality staff.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of Incoming Quality Control Inspection experience
  • 2 years of experience in quality inspection on metal fabrications, reading Blueprints, drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing “GD&T”
  • Experience using inspection tools like Faro, Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges etc.
  • Understanding of identification of non-conforming materials
  • Experience using MS Office

Knowledge in measurement systems. Experience in completing inspection on steel welded products. SAP experience
