CommScope’s Venue and Campus segment incorporates Ruckus Network’s, which focuses on enabling wireless and wired connectivity across complex and varied networks. It offers dedicated engineering and Customer Service and Support resources to our customers across a spectrum of verticals including - hospitality, education, smart cities, government, venues, service providers and more.

Our fast paced Ruckus BU is hiring for Failure Analysis Engineer to join our growing team, Sunnyvale, CA

How YOU'll help us connect the world:

Failure Analysis Engineering is responsible for leading customer return product. Failure Analysis Engineer’s main goal is to improve the customer experience and provide recommendations to manufacturing and NPI on product improvements

Investigate product, component or process caused customer failures or trends and work with appropriate cross functional team members to implement corrective/preventive action.

Demonstrate appropriate response time and issue escalation management.

Continuous improvement of the RMA / FA test process.

Provide Guidance to ODM, FA Tech and junior Engineers.

Hold CM and ODM FA organizations to agree upon standards for completion of Failure Analysis.

Identify test/FA gaps in CM/ODM processes and equipment.

Review ODM NCMR and provide approval.

Review RMA and FA return analysis.

Manage Problem Resolution Process (PRP).

Collaborate with Technical Assistance Center, R&D, and Repair Centers

Well versed with the various systems, tools, and procedures used in failure analysis

Proficient in many applications used for database management and reporting

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors with 8+ years of proven ability in similar role.

Excellent oral and Written Communication

Strong problem-solving techniques

Working knowledge of industry standard tools (six sigma, lean, KT)

Time management skills

Required to log all incidents of failure. Record the accurate time and other details that are important for further analysis.

Work closely with Hardware and software design team to build quality across product life cycle from design to support

Responsible internal and department audit and documentation

Knowledge of quality systems, Office suites, Agile, Scrum, SAP, Confluence, JIRA, ARENA, Confluence, and Sales Force analytics and reporting tools.
