CommScope is hiring a Senior RF Engineer in Richardson TX
How You'll Help us Connect The World:
As Senior Hardware Design Engineer you will join a global multi-site advance technology team and will be working on high-end Open RAN 5G and/or 4G mMIMO radio design, architecture, development and integration. This role will be instrumental in performing simulations and overall TX/RX line-up analysis, hardware bring-up and integration. Support customer test, answer questions, troubleshooting/debug. Test RF system based on customer request, especially some customized, non-typical test cases. Support system level RF performance testing and perform data analysis. We will look to you for architecting cost-efficient, high-performance RF Transceiver architectures for high-end mMIMO radios. Derive Transceiver (TX/RX) chain requirement specifications from the system requirements. Drive RF component and vendor selections. Guide PCB layout for the transceiver circuits and ensure excellent manufacturability. Drive and perform hardware verification. Drive state of the art Technology and Design-to-Cost innovation and execution of the Radio hardware. Collaborate with colleagues across Commscope’s development Sites globally. Convert customer requirements and expectations to outstanding design innovation
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering with at least eight years of overall experience including five years’ of relevant expertise in telecommunication industry in RF circuit design and Radio HW integration roles
• In depth theoretical and practical knowledge on RF circuit/Radio design. Example, Impedance matching, transceiver line up calculation, interference/distortion estimation, etc.
• Consistent track record of experience in RF Circuit and System design for 5G or 4G radios
• In-depth knowledge on Radio RF Performance parameters and hands on knowledge of RF measurement tools like Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer etc.
• Knowledge on test automation using scripts.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
Hands-on experience with design tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS, MATLAB etc. Strong RF Circuit troubleshooting skills. Knowledge on passive component parameters, like filter, antenna etc. Understanding of HW/SW interface. Knowledge on digital and mechanical design. Experience with various PWB materials and large multi-layer layouts. Familiarity with electronics, PWB and mechanical components supplier base and supply chain. Deep knowledge on cost efficient manufacturing methodologies and technologies Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Curiosity to continuously learn and innovate. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to quickly grasp and adapt to new technologies and concepts.
