Throughout the 12-week program, you will collaborate with some of the best in the industry, receive on the job training and participate in professional development workshops, executive speaker series, and other networking and social events!

What to Expect:

As an Engineering Intern you will be responsible for the design and test of HELIAX products under the fiber product line. You will work closely with the engineering, operations, quality, and procurement organizations to bring new products to market while supporting the current product portfolio.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Working closely with senior level engineer in mentorship role.
  • Participating with the engineering team in DFMEAs and design reviews.
  • Improving existing designs to enhance product performance, quality, and cost.
  • Creating and writing component level drawings and specifications.
  • Initiate, execute, review test plans and results as required.
  • Analyzing product and/or component level failures for root cause.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Junior or Senior standing in a BSME or MSME degree program, will consider other majors with fiber-optic coursework/experience.
  • Proven strong academic performer with a minimum GPA of 3.2
  • 3D CAD proficiency for mechanical design with SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer experience required.
  • Familiarity with analytical tools and techniques such as process capability studies, root cause analysis, FMEAs, DOEs, probability and statistics.
  • Demonstrate strong engineering fundamentals and a disciplined approach to problem solving.
  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company
