We are looking for a Staff QA Engineer to work closely with development engineering , technical support and product management team to develop strong test plan and test execution for Ruckus IP family routers and switches. Candidate should have a thorough understanding of QA process and methodology including agile and waterfall approach. Strong proficiency in manual as well as automation testing with TCL, Python and REST API validation is highly desirable. Ability to work independently with high productivity and multi-tasking is a must. Candidate should have knowledge of L2-L3 protocol testing of VLANs, LACP, QoS, Spanning tree 802.1d, 802.1w, multicast IGMP/MLD, RIP, OSPF and SNMP network management. Hands on experience testing networking hardware is a must.
BS in CS/EE with 2-3 years experience , M.S. in Computer Science is desirable
Networking certifications such as CCNA,CCNP is a plus.
Experience with Python/TCL is a must.
Hands on QA experience in both manual and automation is a must.
Hands on experience testing networking hardware is a must.
Ability to analyze engineering system design and develop test plan.
Must have ablity to troubleshoot , debug, analyze and resolve reported issues.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be a self starter, proactive and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Must have good networking knowledge of L2/L3 TCP/IP , VLANs , spanning tree and routing protocols such as 802.1w , OSPF, BGP etc..
Experience using third party test equipment such as Spirent, Ixia is desirable.
