Job Description


The Internal Communications and Training Administrator is innovative, creative, and driven. The role is responsible for all internal Human Resources communication programs to employees and staff across the organization. The role will also provide diligent support to the HR Training and Development Specialist in developing, publishing and distributing training materials in support of our Human Capital strategies. In order to be successful, it is essential that all communications align with the Organization’s strategic vision and plan. In addition to internal communication, the Specialist assists in development and coordination of internal training events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create internal digital and print marketing pieces
  • Manage and create content that aligns with HSM goals and values
  • Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the Organization’s strategic vision
  • Manage, maintain and create engaging content for online platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Glassdoor, and Indeed
  • Design external advertisements used for recruitment and local public relations
  • Support the Business with internal communication needs and requests
  • Oversee preparation of routine communication to connect all employees with organizational changes, company initiatives and results, business and employee success stories, company position/response to internal issues
  • Write personnel announcements
  • Remain informed of developments in the field of communications and use this information to help operate with initiative and innovation
  • Develop innovative, cost effective ways to communicate to all employees
  • Assistance in creation of training materials and content for internal training programs
  • Coordinate training events
  • Occasional delivery of internal trainings
  • Travel required

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred experience with design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent
  • Experience with managing social media channels
