Business Systems Analyst / Information Systems / Full-Time (Posting Date: 05/26/2021)

Job Description:
Acquires and maintains expertise in assigned software applications and works with end users and super users during application acquisition, installation, implementation, upgrades, and patches to optimize use of functionality, including assisting in process and work flow changes, so that measurable benefits are realized. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Assists end users and super users in performing regular audits to ensure that end users and super users continue to optimize use of functionality. Acquires and maintains expertise with tools used to enhance use of application software such as report writers (e.g., Meditech, Crystal, SQL), data base tools (e.g., Microsoft Access), spreadsheets, flowsheet tools, Graphical User Interface tools, and scripting tools.

Associate degree in Management of Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience in healthcare computer software applications. Strong information systems knowledge (application user experience, analyst or project implementation roles desired).

Work Experience:
Four years previous health care experience in I/S. Experienced with hospital information systems applications. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.

Preferred: Experience with Meditech systems, report writers, and data base applications either directly or through supervision. Experience with process management.
